With only three barrels made, this is a very limited production wine that we could not help but make. A throwback favorite of Elyse Winery, its nose of fresh blackberries and Spring flowers lead to classic Syrah notes of tar and lavender, culminating in a rich and full bodied wine.
The Jemrose Vineyards are situated across hundreds of feet of elevation changes and alignments to the sun, creating a playground for winemakers to explore and create excellence. The Bennett Valley of Sonoma County has emerged as a haven for Syrah and Grenache. The cooler climate on the east side allows for a longer growing season and complexity development, while the warm pockets of sunshine on the west side bring power and rich color development.
One of the smallest AVAs in California, Dry Creek Valley has a winning combination of ideal geography and climate. Fertile, well-drained soils create concentrated varietal character while long, warm days, bookended by cool nights, allow grapes to reach full phenolic ripeness and balance. Carreras Vineyard is an incredible display of Petite Sirah.
