Morisoli Vineyard is located in the heart of the Rutherford Bench, between Niebaum and Manley Lanes, at the base of Mount Saint John. This area has a worldwide reputation for producing complex, distinctive and age worthy wines. The unique terroir consists of well-drained, light, dusty, gravelly soil that produces grapes with vibrant flavor and impeccable balance. The resulting wines express equal parts power and finesse. This historic vineyard has been meticulously farmed by the Morisoli family for over a century. Each year, since 1987, we have been fortunate to produce a Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel from this very special place in Napa Valley.
Korte Ranch is located just north of the town of St. Helena along the Napa River on Ehlers Lane. It is truly one of the most distinctive and classic Zinfandel vineyards left in Napa Valley with the vines we source from being a minimum of 70 years old. It has been family owned for four generations and was a bonded winery before prohibition. The gnarly old head trained, dry farmed vines are planted where the eastern and western hillsides meet. This beautiful property is perfectly suited for high quality grape growing from the cool morning and nighttime temperatures to the loose soils of rocky loam which help make wine of unique and bold character.
Ramazzotti Vineyard is located in the heart of the Dry Creek Valley AVA, in Northern Sonoma County. The history of wine grape growing here is among the longest in California with its fertile landscape attracting settlers soon after the Gold Rush. By the late 1880s, the valley had almost 900 acres of vineyards – the majority planted to Zinfandel for which Dry Creek is best known. The soil is gravelly clay loam, strikingly red in color, and produces amazingly flavorful grapes. This unique soil drains exceptionally well, helping to stress the vines late in the growing season, concentrating varietal character. Dry Creek Valley experiences both coastal and inland influences; long, warm days allow the fruit to fully ripen, while coastal cooling in the evening enables the grapes to mature slowly and retain their acidity and balance.
